The state of Illinois requires pediatric eye exams performed on children entering public or private school kindergarten. Your child’s appointment will consist of testing visual acuity, color vision and depth perception. A dilated eye exam may need to be performed in order to determine the need for glasses correction. School forms are filled out at the time of the appointment.
